In this year's ADC University Creative Index, Rhineland-Palatinate overtakes Bavaria for the first time and takes first place in the evaluation of student work. Bavaria is therefore in 2nd place, closely followed by Thuringia in 3rd place.
The university's performance is evaluated on the basis of the work submitted by students for the ADC Talent Award. The prizes awarded there follow a points system, the average of which ("Average Creative Excellence") is used to calculate the index. In previous years, this list was known as the "University Ranking". This year, the ADC (Art Directors Club für Deutschland e. V.) deliberately decided to change the name: while the term "Ranking" gives the impression that there is a ranking, an "Index" is intended to provide a neutral assessment and orientation for students, universities and interested parties. The awards were therefore sorted by subject area in order to provide an overview of the subject areas in which the universities perform particularly well.
The next ADC Talent Award will start on November 15, 2023 and will once again be looking for the best young talents from German-speaking countries, both semester and final theses from universities and agencies are eligible. Every submission before December 7 will also receive an early bird discount of 10%.
If you would like to find out more about the projects that have received awards so far, we have presented some of the young talent's work in Grafikmagazin 05.23.
