How do you create a magazine that people not only read, but love? In the "Little 1 x 1 of magazine design" workshop, the Grafikmagazin team reveals tips and pitfalls, provides plenty of practical experience and ensures a creative exchange.
The bad news: at its core, our brain functions exactly as it did 40,000 years ago. The good news is that everything we can touch and feel touches us in a special way. Beautifully designed magazines are therefore still a great asset in communication, especially because we consume so much digitally today.
If you want to convince, you have to give more than 100%
However, it is no longer enough to simply print content on paper. If you want to convince and, above all, retain readers, you have to come up with something and go beyond the norm. Passion, skill and quality not only make your magazine better, they also show appreciation for your readers.
How do I get started?
When the lights went out at novum after 96 years, the former graphics and editorial team decided to start their own magazine. Launched in the middle of the pandemic, the Grafikmagazin and was a success.
But how do you start from scratch, how do you choose fonts, papers and a name? How do you design a magazine and how do you get it out to the people? Christian Meier, Tobias Holzmann, Christine Moosmann and Sonja Pham have learned a lot from founding the graphic magazine. In this workshop, they share their knowledge, reveal what is important and what mistakes and pitfalls are lurking.
