The What About Neon project arose from the Swiss Studio F 's habit of drawing a postcard every day during lockdown and sending it to friends. The hope now is that the spark will be ignited and others will also get the idea of sending a postal greeting more often.
And it would be boring if the graphic project wasn't implemented with a few exciting spot colors. The challenge in offset printing was to faithfully reproduce the very fine and transparent watercolors and structures of the brush. The luminous cards were reproduced by a lithographer and printed in Zurich on beautiful 400g/m2 Lessebo paper in two-color offset print and neon.
Studio F has also realized individual motifs as posters in 50×70 format using screen printing. These were realized by Miss Lombardi, a versatile Zurich screen printing workshop. The use of an FM screen brings out the watercolor structures beautifully. The delicate blue tones were made possible with magenta and cyan, and the neon color was applied with a third screen.
You can order the cards and posters in the Studio F store.
