Creativity meets innovation meets the will to positively influence the world: Once again, the annual ADC Festival will be held under the motto "Change the World with Creativity". From June 4 to 7, 2024, the Art Directors Club invites you to the historic Schuppen52 in the Port of Hamburg. Until then, a bold campaign by Saint Elmo's will draw attention to the brightest minds in the creative industry, celebrating the true geniuses behind successful projects.
More than just colorful pictures
This year's ADC Festival campaign, developed by the Munich agency Saint Elmo's, was presented at the German Creative Economy Summit on March 7. Fittingly, this event, an industry get-together for future topics from politics, business and design, was all about change through creativity.
Matthias Harbeck, CCO of Saint Elmo's and member of the ADC board, emphasized at the launch of the campaign that creativity not only beautifies, but is also a driving force for change: "Creativity is so much more than just colourful images. Brilliant ideas can change the world. We celebrate young creatives for their groundbreaking projects and honor the rebellious power of creativity."
Inspired by the famous portrait of Albert Einstein, the campaign motifs show five outstanding creative people who have had a lasting impact on the world with their ideas, for example through social commitment such as the sale of "flood wine" for the benefit of flood victims in the Ahrweiler region to technological innovations such as an "Uncensored Library" that makes censored books accessible via Minecraft.
The campaign motifs were created in collaboration with the renowned photographer Markus Burke; in addition to the posters, the campaign uses animated City Light posters to create eye-catching "tongue moments".
The program of the festival and the ADC Congress has also been revealed: music legend Blixa Bargeld, star architect Hadi Teherani and celebrated creative director Liza Enebeis from Studio Dumbar will be appearing, underlining the far-reaching influence of the creative community with the diversity of their work.
The festival promises inspiring days full of activities - business panels, masterclasses and an expo. Highlights include the Talent Award Show and the Award Show followed by a party, which will take place back-to-back for the first time.
Above all, the ADC Festival 2024 should also be an opportunity for participants to network and exchange ideas. The honorary award ceremony recognizes outstanding personalities and organizations that have made a significant contribution to the creative industries.
For anyone interested, the festival offers a variety of ticket options, including discounted rates for students and groups. The Early Bird rate is available until March 15.
