(Advertisement) Campaigns that make a difference and make the world a better place: That is the claim of the communication projects we present here. In our opinion, they were quite rightly honored with the iFDesign Award for their quality. But see for yourself ...
The mirror
"What kind of world do we live in?" asks the Serviceplan image film right at the beginning. Trump, the climate catastrophe, growing populism, the refugee crisis - today's news is more chaotic than any talk show. Nobody knows what to believe anymore. In these times, Der Spiegel wanted to strengthen its role as an important German news brand with reliability and orientation.
This is to be achieved with a campaign that holds up a mirror to the world and exposes the misconduct and hypocrisy of those in power. The result is a remarkable communication for one of Germany's most renowned media companies. Der Spiegel speaks out clearly against the loss of morality in this world. Part of this integrated campaign is a 45-second film that ends with the words: "We hold up a mirror to this world."
Coffee Kids
Melting Signals has developed a positive new campaign for Coffee Kids to support young coffee farmers and their businesses. As older generations retire from production, younger farmers are leaving their fields, families and villages for the big cities. What they often don't see: Opportunities are right on their doorstep! Coffee Kids provides young farmers with training, mentoring and start-up capital so they can follow their dreams while supporting their own communities. The campaign has sensitized the industry to support the future of young coffee farmers and thus also secure the future of coffee.
It is not only young people in Germany who find it difficult to see a future in agriculture; many coffee farmers also have problems recruiting young people. The Coffee Kids campaign, commissioned by the Hanns R. Neumann Foundation in Hamburg, shows that the prospects for young people in the countryside can often be better than in the city and offers real support.
decadia
decadia 's corporate video outlines the company's purpose, people, products and heritage in a unique and unexpected way. It gives an insight into the heart of the technology-driven start-up by expressing personality and showcasing their very special office location: In the buildings of a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the former Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex.
decadia's mission is to manage and digitize the pension fund administration of large corporations. As a start-up based in the buildings of what was once the largest coal mine in the world, the environment is a daily reminder of the hard work of the miners at this very site decades ago.
The film, conceived by Melting Experience, combines the world of digitalization and the origins of industrialization in a very honest way, although it was produced with minimal equipment, personnel and time, the great idea and professional implementation did not detract from the tight production. The film is used in corporate communications and recruiting.
Bamberg Symphony Foundation
"bam is back" celebrates the return of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra after the involuntary break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dust settled in the Bamberg concert hall, symbolizing the stagnation of the cultural industry. For the reopening, Serviceplan's creative team turned this dust into a symbol of a new beginning - by literally making it dance to the first piece of music of the new season.
For the film, which was distributed online, the designers developed a special choreography that was visualized with real dust shots on location and animated VFX dust. "bam is back" impressively shows how something beautiful can emerge from enforced silence and makes you want to hear the big bam that you haven't heard for so long.
Campaigns that make a difference and show social commitment can help to make our world a better place. And if they are of such a high standard in terms of design and production, their award is more than deserved.
