The Happy Club is a small Riso studio in the heart of Munich where the main focus is on doing things yourself. At the end of the year, 24 artists came together and printed many different motifs - from which you can now put together your own mix & match calendar.
Michaela Huml loves to involve other people in her projects, which is why her Happy Club is not an ordinary risography studio where commissioned work is printed. Anyone who attends a workshop at the Happy Club acquires basic knowledge of Riso printing and can then use the printers for their own projects. Michaela Huml and her team are of course always on hand with help and advice. The result is a constantly growing Happy Club community that experiments and realizes projects together.
One such project is the Mix & Match calendar. Together with the women's network and creative collective Büro Chapeau, Huml invited 24 artists to design a calendar page, all of whom had complete freedom and only had to limit themselves to two colors. The printing itself was more of a happening than work, all calendar pages were signed and in the end there was a selection of 27 different motifs to choose from.
In the small store on Munich's Rindermarkt, interested parties can now select twelve motifs and put together their own individual Mix & Match calendar. The individual risographs are perforated and attached separately from the calendar on a specially developed hanger. When the year is over, the most beautiful motifs can be hung on the wall as art prints - after all, they are all limited edition and signed.
If you can't be there, you now have the opportunity to purchase the calendar online. Unfortunately, you can't choose freely here, but you can be sure that Michaela Huml will make a nice selection.
