Nation Media Group took a bold step towards change to stay relevant to its target audience. Nation 's new look aims to appeal to all age groups. The Dutch studio Morrow developed a strategy that is rooted in African culture and tradition while allowing for a lot of flexibility.
In terms of content, the media group covers virtually everything from news and children's shows to a fashion podcast. To bring the different segments together, the identity corresponds to an iterative journey into the future. Morrow deservedly took home an award in the Brand Identity category.
How do you effectively and elegantly revamp the image of a brand that has been everywhere for over 30 years? The Zeichen & Wunder agency showed us how and gave the outdoor label Deuter a new logo. By completely redefining the word mark, it gave Deuter a more distinctive character.
The new look noticeably refreshes the brand design applications - both in catalogs, on products and on the Internet. Signs & Wonders is literally flying high - with a prize for Communication at the iF Awards.
The law firm Qivive, which specializes in Franco-German commercial law, has also been given a new look. As part of a joint brand development process, it not only received a new look, but also a new name. "Qui vive" is known as an old slogan of French guards and was used by people who wanted to pass through a gate. The company's logo therefore literally stands for new paths opening up and also for its bilingualism.
The core focus of the law firm is presented through sympathetic portraits of the employees, who radiate a high level of seriousness and vitality. The multi-award-winning studio jäger & jäger has once again done a great job here.
Making a statement with color: The ANDMARQ agency specializes in the management of actors. The South Korean design studio PlusX won an award in the Communication discipline with its branding because this project successfully realized a vision: namely to create a visual structure that emphasizes mutual respect between actors and authorities.
In this way, PlusX wants to ensure that destructive arrangements and behaviors in the industry are avoided. The brand identity says goodbye to the sometimes problematic talent management industry and focuses on healthy, shared growth - hand in hand with the artists.
The rebranding project of OCC Assekuradeur, the insurance expert for classic vehicles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, is also in the winning category. As a leading insurance provider, OCC has been an important part of the classic car scene for over 30 years. When the group-wide digitalization was due, the agency Suan Conceptual Design was commissioned with the conception of the entire branding.
The brand strategy, including the new corporate design, covers all touchpoints. Suan used typical elements of the classic car scene for the design. Clear lines, strong typography and a striking choice of colors: OCC is making a statement in the classic car scene and insurance industry alike. A shining example of successful corporate design.
